Diamond Wood and Shaw are award winning consulting Structural and Civil Engineers who have, for over 36 years, been providing skilled professional help and support, on a wide range of Structural and Infrastructure projects locally, regionally, and nationally.

The Diamond Wood Partnership was founded on 1 March 1990 by two Partners, Paul Diamond & Mike Wood, with the assistance of Fergus Shaw an Associate Partner. The practice’s initial client base was primarily in Leicestershire and the East Midlands region but this base steadily expanded, to cover much of the UK as the good reputation of the practice was established. 

Projects for early clients, in both the private and public sectors, included the design of foundations, structures and infrastructures for commercial, industrial, educational, and warehousing projects. Throughout this time, the company has also proudly supported varied residential housing and multistory developments. 

In 2012, the company became Diamond Wood and Shaw Limited with Fergus Shaw taking on sole ownership and Managing Director responsibilities.  

In April 2025, Andy Kenyon and Bhav Parmar led a successful management buyout from Fergus Shaw, marking an exciting new chapter for the business. They remain committed to delivering the same high-quality service that clients have come to expect, while building on the company’s strong foundations.

Fergus continues to play an important role within the leadership team, offering his experience and guidance to support Andy and Bhav and help drive the ongoing success of Diamond Wood & Shaw.
